SIPPs & SAs: Research & Results

Open-source frameworks and community drivers allowed us to develop SIPPs and SAs, a pair of cyber-physical systems that demonstrate a comprehensive mechanism for system security using Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components. Our system enables real-time environment sensing, data transmission, and condition classification, while incorporating Physical-Unclonable Functions (PUFs), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Zero Trust principles and more. All delivered through repurposed shells, sustainable power supplies, custom wiring diagrams, and Microcontrollers (MCUs), this project exposes intimate details on distributed Cyber-Physical System (CPS) design and cyber-physical network security. Future work includes stress-testing security mechanisms in a Red Team v Blue Team (RTBT) environment, Neural Network (NN) classification, and broader educational deployment.
