This semester, Old Dominion University’s (ODU’s) CS 463 Cryptography for Cybersecurity course required students to submit a final paper or project on cryptography. As a way to study cryptography and supplement modern resources, I decided to create a small desktop application that would use different ciphers to encode and decrypt messages. CSuite, my proposed application, would follow a more user-centered design while still efficiently and accurately performing tasks. The packaged application integrates easily reversible stream and block ciphers and will be expanded for more encryption algorithms in the future. The attached project report will describe my implementation, results, and hopes for the future of the CSuite application.
